He started his career with Century 21 Chesapeake Realty in Pasadena, Maryland, quickly becoming a top agent in the company, and then co-founding Century 21 Action Realty in Glen Burnie, Maryland. He moved to Coldwell Banker Grempler Realty to become the company’s Sales Manager, where he oversaw the development of the Glen Burnie and Greenspring Valley offices to their top-performing positions regionally. He then served as the District Manager with a Century 21 affiliate before starting his own brokerage firm, Century 21 Mount Vernon Realty, which he managed. He led the growth of his firm to two offices and 120 agents, making it one of the top Century 21 brokerages in Maryland and one of the top REO brokerages in the country.

During his tenure as a REALTOR, James was extremely productive, with over 2,200 satisfied buyers and sellers. He has a deep understanding of the challenges agents face in the Mid-Atlantic market.
